WHY WE EXIST

Poaching once drove rhinos to the brink of extinction in Namibia, where our premium hardwood is sourced. Today, these magnificent creatures remain critically endangered. In response, we’ve partnered with the Rhino Momma Project initiative, to help safeguard these majestic creatures.

For every 50 000 bags of charcoal and briquettes sold, Kalahari will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Rhino Momma Project, enabling a rhino to be born and raised safely, under their protection.

When you choose Kalahari Charcoal and Briquettes, you help protect the rhinos. Together, we’re not just preserving nature, we’re giving rhinos a fighting chance for the future.

OUR PRODUCTS

Charcoal

*Additional bags may be loaded

Kalahari Charcoal is premium quality, natural Namibian hardwood boasting an industry-leading size of +25mm.

BRIQUETTES

*Additional bags may be loaded

Kalahari  Briquettes are made from the same charcoal that is derived from natural Namibian hardwood. They provide an impressive size of +50mm. Due to their uniform shape, they burn longer and more consistently.

Chemical free

Our charcoal and briquettes contain no chemicals, ensuring food is not contaminated. Their rich aroma enhances the natural flavours of food.

Burns hot & long

Our charcoal and briquettes stay hot for +/- 2 hours.

Year-round supply

With forecasting and planning, we ensure that our charcoal and briquettes are consistently available throughout the year.

Ecologically friendly

Invader species have reduced huge amounts of Namibian grasslands. Our charcoal is derived from this species (which is not replanted) and therefore helps restore the grasslands.
